Next month, the art community will rally 'round YAC once again, as Carmel's Winfield Gallery hosts "A Collector's Dream Come True: Legacy Artists Supporting Emerging Artists." More than 25 local artists of note are donating a piece of fine art, which will be sold during a weeklong sale, April 7-14, and conclude with an afternoon reception and art exhibit on April 14.
With a cache of 41 pieces beautifully placed along what is really a long hallway space, the exhibit is perhaps the most comprehensive local representation of the Monterey resident’s primary artistic pursuit, location photographs with acrylic painted dreamscapes extending outwards of the image’s borders.
Hip-hop stars Scarface, E-40, Big Pokey, and Lil Troy are featured in this down-and-dirty look at the rap music scene in Houston, Texas. It also features guest appearances from funnymen Reynaldo Rey and Rodney Winfield.
