Hollywood’s clout chasing of the day comes from c-list celebrity Cary Elwes. The opponent: Ted Cruz.
As a reminder, Elwes played Westley in the 1987 film
The Princess Bride. As he’s a far leftie, a Twitter feud broke out against Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz. Not surprising.
Cruz, an avid fan of
The Princess Bride, said in his own podcast that “The view of the Left is people are a disease.” Since Elwes clearly disagreed, he instigated a duel on Twitter in a desperate attempt to become relevant again. “@tedcruz How does it feel to know that not only the entire cast and crew of your favorite movie The Princess Bride, but almost the whole entertainment industry, have nothing but rabid contempt for you? #inconceivable? I think not, you miserable ROUS.”
