Massachusetts state trooper charged with domestic violence in Exeter

EXETER – A Massachusetts State Police sergeant was arrested by his own agency Sunday after fleeing local police following a domestic violence incident where he allegedly assaulted and strangled a woman.  Trooper Sgt. Bryan Erickson, 38, of Groveland, Massachusetts, was arrested on a warrant issued by Exeter police. Massachusetts State Police transported Erickson to Exeter, where he was charged with felony domestic violence assault and misdemeanor charges of domestic violence assault, domestic violence obstructing the report of a crime, disobeying an officer, criminal trespass and reckless operation.  According to the police affidavit from Exeter officer Kristina Chase, she responded to an Exeter home following a 911 hang up at approximately 2:50 a.m. Sunday. Chase reported she witnessed a male close the garage door when she arrived. She then knocked on the front door and announced herself as police responding to the abandoned 911 call.  A woman answered and informed Chase that
