Tony McNamee is a well-known figure in Donegal soccer circles, and played senior football for more than twenty years.
He started off with Clonleigh Athletic in 1977, and went on to play for Rockhill United, Prior United, Swilly Rovers, Bonagee United, Milford United, Lifford Celtic, Ramelton Mariners, and Curragh Athletic.
He has been involved in coaching since the eighties and is now a referee on the local scene.

McNamee has this week picked the best 11 (3-5-2) he faced over his career, with honourable mentions for Danny Kelly (Fanad United), Bernie Timlin (Buncrana Hearts), Mickey Duffy (Letterkenny Rovers), Donal McCafferty (Milford United), Loughlin O’Rourke (St Catherines).
