Reporter homicide detectives have been talking with witnesses and the girlfriend of the victim. Also the person who fired the shots. The big question is why was this incident happening in the first place. Why were these shots fired. Behind me you see the bullet markings on the ground by lancaster avenue. This happened after 11 30 last night between 35th and 36th streets here on drexels campus. A welllit area with several businesses nearby. Police say that there was an argument between the 24yearold victim and his 22yearold girlfriend. At some point, another man walked up, a person they did not know. He got involved. Eventually shooting the boyfriend in the chest three times. The victim died at penn presbyterian and doesnt go to school here. This is extreme, very rare. They definitely know each other.
