During the 123 rd Philippines Independence Day this weekend, COVID-19 stopped the big celebration they were hoping to have, but instead, the Wetaskiwin Filipino Community Foundation had a motorcade and opened a Community Pantry to mark the occasion. Both of those activities are a part of Filipino culture and heritage. The Community Pantry shows how those with very little can thrive because they share what they have.
