Shoebury: Fundraiser in memory of uncle who lost Covid fight | Clacton and Frinton Gazette

A FAMILY are spearheading a fundraising mission to raise cash for our NHS in memory of their beloved uncle who suddenly died from coronavirus. George McGhie, of Rackenford, Shoebury, passed away at the age of 82 in Southend Hospital on January 11 after a short battle with the virus. His niece, Nola Hedderman, has paid tribute to her uncle who will be “really missed”. She said: “Me and my little boy were really close to him. He always had a joke and always had time to listen and talk. We will definitely miss his sense of humour. He knew how to capture a room for sure. It just still seems unreal. He will be really missed.”
