CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â You might remember the Navy Army Night Parade making itâs way through the streets of Corpus Christi, but this year the parade is looking a little different because itâs being held at the American Bank Center.
The American Bank Center is preparing for the parade by putting up plexiglass for the deluxe suites and making sure everyone is adhering to COVID safety protocols like social distancing and wearing a mask. They also made sure to separate seating according to social distancing guidelines from the health district. They also had to plan out the parade route, which looked similar to the route cars took during the drive-in vaccination clinics.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â The Buc Daysâ Illuminated Night Parade will feature floats sponsored by the mayor and CITGO. The company working on their floats is Lone Star Parade Floats in Dallas.
Roby Watts is one of the people working on the floats and said he has been working for Lone Star Parade Floats for about 15 years since it is his familyâs business.
Watts said it takes about a week to do the mock-up drawing of the float with an iPad and get it approved by the customer. Then it takes another two to three days to finish decorating the float.
