hoped it would be not a bad film not sure if you see that but it s it s how i know it i think of it as driving miss daisy in reverse it s a bit of a throwback movie it s a story of a. black musician who teams up with a white racist played by beagle morris and his driver. who they say is a gibson is south of the one nine hundred sixty s. for me it was a very sort of conventional type of film to give the oscars a say in a lot of work very much a safe bet and that surprised me because this oscars looked like it was going to be quite radically different not just because it was host list but because of the sort of diversity of nominees and the kinds of movies i mean we mentioned the favorite robot romas a three and a half hour black and white mexican film and most people myself included thought it could win best picture which would have been revolutionary in the end we did have a revolution we had a bit of more of the same the old playbook more or less more or less there were a couple of. p
