The Robinson Canal Bridge on La. 56 between Chauvin and Cocodrie has been reopened to one late of traffic both north and south.
The bridge was closed about a week ago because of structural problems that make it unsafe, the Louisiana Transportation Department said.

The movement of north- and southbound traffic will be controlled by a temporary signal light system. The vehicle weight limit for the bridge has been reduced to 5 tons.
