CORONAVIRUS rule-breakers who travelled into Lancashire from as far as Nottingham to take part in a poker tournament were caught laughing and joking when officers caught them in the act over the weekend. A total of 26 people were issued with £800 fines for breaching lockdown regulations on Saturday night, when the police swooped on Roberto’s in Blackburn following a tip-off that a gathering was taking place. Footage recorded by a body-worn camera on an officer has since been released by the force, and shows how some of those present reacted by laughing and joking when they were caught out. DCC Terry Woods has since spoken out about the incident, speaking of the ‘insulting’ behaviour of those in attendance.
