Bortolomiol Earns First EPD Environmental Certification in the Wine Industry
The Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), is the only internationally recognized certification of environmental quality (ISO 14025). Bortolomiol is the first wine producer to obtain it. April 30, 2021
The amount of greenhouse gases emitted directly and indirectly into the atmosphere during all production processes is one of the indicators factored into the Environmental Product Declaration. The carbon footprint for each 750ml bottle of Bortolomiol IUS Naturae was calculated to be 1.54 kg CO2eq, 22 percent less than international averages.
