MUSKEGON, MI – The traffic roundabout at Muskegon’s Pere Marquette beach will be shut down next week for the installation of a large abstract sculpture.
The only access to the beach will be via Sherman Boulevard and Beach Street starting Monday, April 19, said Muskegon Public Works Director Leo Evans.
The 22-foot steel-and-glass sculpture must be assembled on site, Evans said.
Traffic approaching Pere Marquette on Lakeshore Drive will be detoured on Lincoln Street to Sherman, he said.
