I do not live in Palm Springs, so my opinion doesn’t really matter. However, I can’t imagine why anyone believes that the Marilyn statue is an appropriate symbol for Palm Springs.
Marilyn was used by men who returned to Washington, New York, or Los Angeles. Now, men will only stand between her legs to have their picture taken. Children will sit under her skirts and giggle because they can see her panties. T
he real Marilyn took pills because she got no recognition. The statue Marilyn is a curiosity that belongs out by the highway with the other dinosaurs.
