Kyle City Council creates task force to oversee Gregg-Clarke Park improvements Thu, 07/22/2021 - 7:38pm Nathalie Cohetero | Special to the Record Thursday, July 22, 2021 Taking its first steps to begin development at Gregg-Clarke Park, the Kyle City Council created a task force to oversee its progress. The task force will consider feedback and suggestions from the public on Gregg-Clarke’s future skate park and improvements while working with the council. Approved by voters, Proposition B plan will fund park development. The budget includes general expansion and improvement of public parks and trails for $10 million; and $1 million for repairs and a skate park in Gregg-Clarke Park. The city is still working with Hays County to match the amount in bond funds.

KYLE, Texas - The Central Texas Food Bank helped distribute food to those in need in Kyle on Saturday.  Many in our community need a little bit more help and partnering with the Central Texas Food Bank has allowed us to address that need, said council member Robert Rizo.  Rizo says he s active in the community and sees the needs the city is facing. When you look into the faces of these families that really appreciate what we are doing here, it s a blessing to see that we are able to provide this to the community, he said.

City of Kyle enters a $2.5 million agreement for multi-story building downtown Tue, 12/22/2020 - 6:26pm Nathalie Cohetero | Special to the Record Tuesday, December 22, 2020 With a 6-1 vote, Kyle City Council agreed to a building contract with Cadence McShane Construction for  a $2.5 million project at 104 S. Burleson. The multi-million budgeted project will be a multi-story commercial building across the street from west-facing Krug Activity Center. Design plans include a first floor restaurant, second floor office space and a third floor event venue with a covered outdoor component.
