Our Fritztrainers are ready to play:
Monday, 17.05.2021 at 19:00 CEST (13:00 ET, 17:00 UTC)
and try out their Fritztrainer openings against each other.
In the double-round tournament each player may choose two openings. (Since Merijn van Delft has only released one Fritztrainer, which is not opening specific, he will get a wild card if drawn).
The openings are thrown into a pot and randomly selected each round.
The time-limit is
5 minutes + 3 seconds.
Fun, luck, and experimentation are the main focus of the event, but all the masters will surely have a desire to win this tournament.

Seven brave players faced the international champion from the Netherlands to give him a hard time in the gambit that he discussed in ChessBase Magazine 199. This did not work out as planned. Robert Ris consistently took seven out of seven!
In the tournament, half of the 26 games played with the thematic 6.Nd5 were won by White, which is quite a decent result, and definitely speaks in favour of this gambit continuation, especially since every participant was able to prepare for it in detail. None of the games ended in a draw!
