William Federer: Lamb of God Sacrificed on Passover, Resurrected on Feast of First Fruits — The Patriot Post

Jesus’ crucifixion as the “Lamb of God” occurred on the Jewish Feast of Passover, the 15th day of the Hebrew month of Nisan, most likely between 30 and 33 AD. Passover was when each Israelite family in Egypt killed a lamb and put its blood over the doorposts of their house so that the angel of death would “pass over” during the final plague. The Apostle Paul wrote: “For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us.” (I Corinthians 5:7) The next day, the Israelites observed the Feast of Unleavened Bread, where they removed from their homes all the leaven or yeast, which was symbolic of sin.
