FAT Brands Inc., parent company of Fatburger, Buffalo’s Express, and 15 other restaurant concepts, announces a new development deal to expand its presence in Alaska with three new locations set to open over the next three and a half years. In partnership with Franchisee Robert Monteith, the development deal will increase the total unit count of Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express locations in Alaska to four. In 2020, Monteith introduced the two beloved, all-American brands to the state, opening in Fairbanks.
The 105th anniversary of the execution of Roger Casement was marked in London in early August, when Francie Molloy, MP for Mid Ulster, addressed a commemoration outside Pentonville Prison in Isling.

Roger Casement was born in Dublin on September 1, 1864. He served for many years as a distinguished British Consul in Mozambique, Angola and the Congo Free State (he came to further prominence in the latter, forcing the King of Belgium by sheer diplomacy and bluff, to re-consider the appalling treatment of the Congolese people in 1908.) and later Brazil.
For his services to Britain he was awarded a knighthood in 1911, retiring from the diplomatic service through ill-health and settling once more in Dublin. Despite his proven loyalty to the Crown, however, he chose to take up the Republican cause, helping to establish the Irish National Volunteers in 1913.
