Diana Morneweck remembers her father, Vincent A. Panaia, always working on classic cars at their home.
“He was always buying something, she said. He had a 35 Ford Coupe, and he and his son (Mike) built it from the ground up. He had a Corvette, a ‘69 Corvette. He had so many cars. He even had a 1931 Ford Model A; that was a really nice car. He had that just before he went into the nursing home.”
Panaia, 82, who lived in Akron for most of his life, died May 2 from complications from COVID-19.
Morneweck said that her father also owned motorcycles, including two Harley Davidsons.
