MURRAY Police on Tuesday arrested a man suspected of preying on homeless women.
Robert Joseph Davis, 45, of Murray, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on Tuesday for investigation of aggravated sexual assault, aggravated kidnapping, rape and aggravated assault resulting in serious injury.
On April 27, police responded to a report of a woman who had been sexually assaulted who also had a slicing injury on her left hand. Officers learned that the woman had been in the area of the Midvale Cemetery when a man drove by her about three times before stopping. The man, Davis, asked her if she wanted a ride and she got in the car to cruise, according to a police affidavit.

Robert “Tiny” Doiron was born in Central Falls Rhode Island, peacefully passed away on April 5th, 2021.
Formerly of North Providence, Tiny is survived by his only Daughter Desiree Doiron-Wilde, Stepdaughter Denise DeCuhna, Grandson Robert Joseph Davis, Granddaughter Brittany Stanley, and four Great Grandchildren, Noah, Terrel, Tristan, and Teigan.
Tiny was preceded in death by his parents Roger and Palma (Caro) Doiron, his wife Diana (Spooner) Doiron, Stepson Robert Paul DiNapoli, his brother Richard Doiron and sister Anita Doiron.
Tiny spent his early years serving in the United States Airforce from 1956-1960. Once he completed his term, he devoted his lifelong career to the construction industry. His well-renown business D&B Concrete Forms flourished for many years, whereas he had the ability to perfect any project presented to him.
