candidates talked about what we wanted to do, voters picked us, particularly independent voters. jon: well, there was that rather extraordinary poll that just came out, i think, from rasmussen, robert, that said something like 61% of americans don t feel that the government is actually governing with their consent. that has to suggest that there s a real throw the bums out mentality underway among the voters right now. oh, there s no question about it, and as david just noted, change is good. changes rejuvenate the organization. the question is between now and november is there going to be more gridlock, more partisanship, more absolutism, or is there going to be public policy that s made that talks about jobs, that talks about stimulus, that talks about job creation, talks about investment and talks about growth in the private sector, or is there going to be more of this partisan gridlock? if there is, if i were to my

jon: all right. you know, jon, here s one of the challenges on this stimulus question. congressmen from kentucky, missouri, delaware all put out press relesses, republican members, put out press releases claiming success and enthusiasm for stimulus money coming into their districts and their states, and it was all in the stimulus bill, and they all voted against the stimulus bill. they want to take credit for the money, yet they re not willing to engage and vote for it and be part of the process, and that s part of the frustration, and i think the long-term threat to the republicans. jon: all right. we re going to have to leave it there. well jon: go ahead quickly, david. well, and what do we get out of harry reid? another $15 billion. one time $15 billion was a lot of money, and harry reid s talking about another $15 billion in money we don t have to create, again, no more new net jobs. jon: david, robert, thank you. thank you. jamie: well, jon, president obama s lending his
