President trump and a remarkable first solo press conference insisting with little warning to his own staff op taking his own message straight to the people. The president spoke for one hour and 15 minutes. He actually ranted for 24 minutes before he even took the first question. He said hes made, quote, incredible progress in four weeks. He complained about inheriting a mess from president obama, but a huge part of the press conference was devoted to airing his grievances especially against what he calls the very dishonest media. The press has become so dishonest. The press honestly is out of control. I turn on the tv, open the newspaper, and i see stories of chaos. Chaos. Yet it is the exact opposite. Morgan good evening. Im Demarco Morgan. This is our western edition. There is rain in the southeast tonight but nothing like the deadly storms that blasted the Pacific Coast in the past 24 hours. Parts of Southern California were hit with record rainfall and winds gusting at hurricane force. At least two people are dead as the Severe Weather pushes across the desert southwest. Another wave of storms is expected to roll in to the west late sunday. Heres carter evans. Reporter the huge pacific storm hit so fast and so hard, drivers were caught off guard as relentless torents of rain turned roads into rivers in minutes. This is so gnarly. Reporter at one point, more than half a dozen major freeways and highways were closed. Our camera crew captured the overwhelmed a neighborhood north of los angeles.
