WHEELING Grae-Con Construction Inc. filed a lawsuit against Motel Property Development Corporation alleging that it caused harm to Grae-Con s reputation when it blamed the company for damage.
Layafas Architects, Ralph J. Kramer III, Greg Gantzer Inc. and H..E. Neumann Company were also named as defendants in the suit.
Grae-Con claims Motel and Kayafas entered into a contract in 2010 for the design of the Aquatic Center in 2010 and Kayafas and Kramer prepared the construction drawings, according to a complaint filed in Ohio Circuit Court.
Grae-Con was contracted to construct the Aquatic Center in 2011 and subcontracted with Greg Gantzer Inc. as the mechanical subcontractor and throughout the construction, Kayafas reviewed and approved all of the shot drawings and Kramer reviewed and approved the mechanical, electrical and plumbing work.
