daley had opposed the financial reform bill and opposed the president s health care bill. we re going to hear from secretary daley. he was the commerce secretary during the first clinton administration, presumably when the president introduces him at 2:30. maybe we ll get clarification on that. here s an individual who s well known among democrats and well known in the business community. not so well known by president obama himself. it s interesting, both men are from chicago. they had a series of meetings, most recently yesterday when the president decided this morning that daley was going to be the pick to be the new white house chief of staff. it s been called the second most important job in washington after the president. he s a gate keeper and adviser and coo at the white house. bill daley will be the next chief of staff. mike, we ll bring the breaking news as soon as the president walks out with bill daley. thanks, we ll bring you the president s announcement at msn
