Bogston station A PREDATOR who raped a 14-year-old girl during a terrifying daytime attack at a railway station has been jailed for six years. Robert Ferrier had been freed from jail just days earlier when he struck. The attack occurred on a platform at Bogston Railway Station in Greenock in Scotland on August 11 in 2019. The terrified young victim told jurors she did not know Greenock man Ferrier, who had claimed the sex was consensual. The 21-year-old was yesterday sentenced at the High Court in Glasgow after he was found guilty last month of raping the girl following a trial in Paisley.
While nobody was hurt, members of staff have been left very upset by the ordeal. Police are urging members of the public to come forward with any information in a bid to trace those responsible. The first man is described as white, aged in his late 20s, with blue eyes, and of medium build. He was wearing a navy blue jacket with the hood up, navy or royal blue joggers. The second man is also white and aged in his late 20s. He was wearing dark clothing. Detective Constable Suzanne Walker said: “Fortunately no one was injured and the men made off without the cash they had demanded. But staff were left very upset by what happened.
