(17th August 2021)FARHAT, Hormoz (Rathmines, originally of Tehran, Iran), peacefully at home in Dublin, on August 16, 2021, at the age of 93, after a long illness borne bravely. Sadly missed by his wife Maria Baghramian, his son Robert Farhat, and many friends, former students and family across three continents. Hormoz Farhat had lived in Ireland since 1979, first as a Senior Research Fellow at the Queens University of Belfast, followed by his appointment to the Chair of Music at Trinity College Dublin.
