The cdc advised more stringent rules regarding protective gear, Susan Mcginnis has more. Reporter the fear, the finger pointing and the questions have piled up. Did they follow the protocols. Were the float calls adequate. Were there even protocols. Health care workers have been pushing for new standards for their protective gear and late monday they got them. While 260 people are still being monitored for ebola symptoms, the agency areleased new steps to make sure no more contract the virus. Cdc director tom frieden announced the revised steps. Among them, Health Care Workers wear protective suits that leave no hair or skin exposed. And use a respirator over their face instead of critical goggles. One of the critical guidelines is a way of doing that, stepbystep which is supervised and in a way ritualized. Reporter the guidelines come after two nurses who treated
