HOLDEN BEACH Hilda Edge Dores, 91, formerly of Whiteville, passed away Monday, March 1, 2021.
Hilda was born Aug. 5, 1929, in Columbus County, the daughter of the late Daniel Kermit “D.K.” Edge and Mattie Ward Edge. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Robert Dores; brother, Eugene Edge of New Bern; and three sisters, Marietta Edge O’Donald and Yvonne Edge Weeks, both of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Betty Edge (Tedder) Sealey of Whiteville.
She is survived by two sisters, Sandra Edge Mihal of Wilmington and Nancy Edge (Duncan) Forrest of Holden Beach.
Hilda worked at the Blue Jean Corporation for years as a CNA with Liberty Commons and Shoreland, both in Whiteville.
