A man from Berlin was recently honored with the highest award in his industry.
Paul Lombardo, director of the Connecticut Insurance Department’s Life & Health Division, was the recipient of the Robert Dineen Award, presented by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) during its Fall National Meeting.
The Berlin resident told the Herald he has worked for the state since 1996 and was proud to accept this honor, which is the most prestigious award available to state insurance regulators.
“It’s very gratifying; I’m honored and very appreciative,” Lombardo said.
CT Insurance Commissioner Andrew Mais made the announcement following the meeting, where Lombardo was recognized along with two other insurance regulators from other states.
