What was the best advice you have ever received? Who gave you the advice?
“Perspective is key to reap the most benefits of life.” I was given the advice by Mr. Beltran in class last year when we went on a tangent stemming from a lesson about The Great Depression.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In the next 5 years, I hope to accomplish earning my Bachelor’s in Computer Science. Also, I’d hope to be given the opportunity to work for a tech company in the San Antonio area at this point.
Officer
Robert Deleon was born in Topeka and raised in Stafford. At age 19 he started working at the Hutchinson Correctional Facility as a Corrections Officer.
After two years, Deleon said, he felt he could be making more of a difference in the community and applied for the Hutchinson Police Department.
“I was amazed how much a positive impact in the community they make,” he said. “I made the decision, I for sure wanted to be a part of the positive impact. I’m very thankful and honored to be able to serve in a community as great as Hutchinson.”
Kyle Danahy was born in Wichita and raised in Pretty Prairie, where he graduated high school in 2012. He then joined the army and served four years on active duty in Arizona before moving back to Kansas. He then joined the Kansas National Guard and served with them until October of last year.

Delmont E. Nichol, 76, of Hillsdale, PA died Thursday, December 24, 2020 at his home.
The son of Weldon “Sam” Delmont and Yvonne H. (Donahey) Nichol, he was born on May 15, 1944 in Indiana, PA.
Delmont grew up attending the Montgomery Church of the Brethren and was a graduate of Marion Center High School. He went on to earn an associate degree in the electrical field.
He served in the US Army as an SP5 E5 during the Vietnam War, where for most of his three year tour Delmont was based in Germany. He was a forty-two year continuous member of the Clymer American Legion Post #222.
