Well, from the beginning, officials have been saying that the investigation was focusing on operator error. With respect to that. Sources familiar with the investigation tell 7 news that the operator of the runaway train apparently, tied a cord around the throttle and failed to set the brake when he exited the train to override the signal. Now, these are some of the preliminary findings of that investigation into yesterday runaway train. A red line train takes off from braintree early thursday morning. Filled with passengers, but no conductor. The train pick up speed. It went from, like, five Miles Per Hour to, like, 30. It kept going and going and going.
