One of three people charged with first-degree murder of an Edmonton drug dealer on a Calgary street has been granted bail.

Grosse accepted arguments from Victoria Lawyer Robert Claus that Chlala was a suitable candidate for release pending trial.

Chlala is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the daytime shooting of an Edmonton man last July 14 in a southeast Calgary neighbourhood.
Chlala, 19, was charged along with a youth and another adult in connection with the death of Christian Navos, 32, whose body was found in a vehicle near the intersection of Legacy Parade and Legacy Lane S.E.
Police were called to a park in the area around 3:50 p.m. on that day after receiving reports that someone had been shot.
Troy Lemke, 36, and a youth who can’t be identified are also charged with first-degree murder.
