Lucille Doney
PEORIA, Ariz. Lucille Doney, 98, of Peoria, Ariz. and former resident of Iron Mountain, was called home to our Lord as she passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020.
She was born Lucille Mae Wonders on July 27, 1922, in Quinnesec. She was the sixth of eight children born to Harry and Clara Wonders both of whom preceded her in death many years ago. She graduated in 1941 from Quinnesec High School and went on to seek employment in Milwaukee.
It was in Milwaukee where she met the love of her life, Robert Doney, and they were married on June 30, 1951. In 1959, they moved to Iron Mountain where she would live for almost 60 years.
