CLEMSON, S.C. - The Clemson men's tennis team excelled in the classroom this semester as four made the President's List (4.00 semester GPA), six students made the Dean's List (3.50-3.99 semester GPA) and every athlete made the Honor Roll and cemented a 3.00 semester GPA. This marks the second highest team GPA since 2007 and is first among all programs for the fall semester. It was a long day with an earlier rain delay, but they were tough in the big moments and 4 of our 6 players won both their singles matches today. Spencer had to dig deep in his afternoon match and beat a very good player from UNC. Ryuhei, Jorge and Teo had some tough moments in their matches but did a great job finding another gear to get the wins. CLEMSON, S.C. - Chuck McCuen, Director of Tennis Operations and Head Coach at Clemson from 2009-2016, has been inducted into the Georgia State Hall of Fame. McCuen led the Georgia State men's tennis program for 19 years, accumulating TAAC/A-Sun Coach of the Year five times. In addition, he guided the Panthers to three NCAA Tournament appearances and five conference titles while mentoring 14 student-athletes to all-conference selections. During his time at Clemson, McCuen picked up 109 career wins and led the Tigers to back-to-back tournament appearances in 2013 and 2014.
