Former Blues and Hurricanes midfielder Hadleigh Parkes may not be the highest-profile New Zealand rugby export but there are few players who have prospered so much after leaving these shores. After moderate success in Super Rugby between 2012-2014, Parkes’ move to Scarlets in his mid-20s was the catalyst for a memorable second half of his career that included 29 tests for Wales and a standout Rugby World Cup in 2019.
