i think what was most remarkable was seeing the quotes from some of the other republicans on the committee. you obviously have chairman nunes. he s the one who oversees the staff. other republicans didn t even seem to know this was happening. it really follows what we ve seen happen since last april. that was when nunes was the subject of an ethics investigation. nunes, to be clear, formerly served as a trump transition official so he has a relationship to this white house. that s right, and that was the nature of ethics investigation, he was perhaps improperly sharing classified information publicly that had to do with president trump. he handed off the russia investigation to a trio of republicans and while he was technically recused, i guess that s the word, some people used, although it wasn t maybe true in terms of how he was handling his other business. still was clearly engaged. that s right. it would free himself to do other things that had nothing to do with russia per
