HERE is a round-up of the incidents mountain rescue teams were called out to in the South Lakeland area in the last week. - A walker slipped and injured her knee in woodland at Haverthwaite on Monday. Her leg was splinted and she was stretchered to a waiting ambulance. - A solo climber - who had no climbing gear with him - became stuck on Dow Crag, near Coniston, on Tuesday. He was rescued with the assistance of a helicopter. - A woman injured her ankle after falling near Boo Tarn, on the lower slopes of the Coniston Old Man, on Tuesday. She was stretchered to a rescue team vehicle, then returned to her party s vehicle for onward transport to hospital.
