SALISBURY, Md. – Market Street Inn has issued an apology addressing a message that was posted on a sign in front of the bar yesterday.
The sign said “So if a male can identify as a female, then can a bar identify as a grocery store?”
Market Street has received a lot of backlash over the sign and the owner issued a public apology early on Sunday, talking about correcting this mistake and learning form it.
The owner Rob Mulford says, “I will now spend time becoming better educated on the sensitivity and responsibility of our business in this community and all communities.”

SALISBURY, Md. – This good news highlights the spirit of giving and carries on a young girl’s legacy
On Facebook, TidalHealth thanked a number of business owners for their generous donation to Brooke’s Toy Closet. They say Rob Mulford, owner of Mojos and Market Street Inn, contributed dozens of toys to the closet with the help of other businesses like McClean Mortgage, Herl’s Bath and Tile, Pemberton Appliance, and Salisbury Brick.
Brooke’s Toy Closet was established by Rob Mulford’s 12-year-old daughter named Brooke, who passed away due to neuroblastoma in 2017. The goal of the closet is to provide children in the hospital with a toy of their choice to comfort them while they’re a patient.
