Barratt and David Wilson Homes help in St Rocco s shops

EMPLOYEES of a leading homebuilder have leant a helping hand to volunteers running charity shops in Warrington. Staff at Barratt and David Wilson Homes North West have been pitching in at St Rocco’s Hospice stores as part of the firm’s volunteering day. Among those helping out was managing director Rob Holbrook, who attended St Rocco’s warehouse to transport furniture and other items to the charity’s local shops. As the developer’s charity of the year, staff have been raising money for St Rocco’s through a series of employee funded initiatives. These include raffles and donations and an upcoming charity golf day, with further events set to be announced in due course.

Developers to spend almost £1million in Clitheroe | Lancashire Telegraph

Waddow Heights ALMOST a million pounds is to be spent on a town and its facilities as part of a planning agreement which will see 208 new homes built. A total of £985,960 will be spent in and around Clitheroe by the developers in charge of building Waddow Heights – a new housing estate located off Waddington Road. Plans for the development were approved by the Ribble Valley Borough Council in 2019 despite a raft of objections to the plans from those living in the area. Specific contributions include over £70,000 to be spent on improving provisions within the grounds of Clitheroe Castle, which will see an outdoor gym and adventure play area built.
