Sean Monterrosa case: California attorney general to review shooting death by Vallejo police © KCRA Rob Bonte California Attorney General Rob Bonta said Thursday that the state will review the 2020 shooting death of Sean Monterrosa by Vallejo police, saying that the Solano County district attorney had failed at the hard parts of her job following an investigation into the shooting. Vallejo police responding to reports of a break-in at a pharmacy on June 2 of 2020 initially said Monterrosa had a firearm in the waistband of his pants, but the item turned out to be a hammer.
