Mayo Road Safety Roadshow returns virtually next month Published: Thursday, 11 March 2021 10:34
Mayo County Council s Road Safety Roadshow, which is held each year at the Breaffy House resort in Castlebar, is returning next month but will be delivered virtually this year, due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Transition Year students from 29 secondary schools and Youthreach centres across Co Mayo will view the road safety show virtually, and members of the public are also invited to view the event, which will be streamed live on Mayo County Council Facebook and through Zoom into schools.
Members of the Mayo Gardai, National Ambulance Service, and Fire Service will make presentations, along with an A& E consultant from Mayo University Hospital, a family member of a deceased road accident victim and a car crash survivor.
