Pittsfield Snow Emergency Goes Into Effect At 7PM
Please be advised that due to the impending winter storm, a snow emergency has been declared for the City of Pittsfield beginning 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, through 7 p.m. Friday, Dec 18.
During this time, residents are asked to use off-street parking. If unable to park off-street, please follow alternate side parking regulations:
• Between 7 p.m. on Wednesday and 7 p.m. on Thursday:
Vehicles may be parked on the EVEN side of the street.
• Between 7 p.m. on Thursday and 7 p.m. on Friday:
Vehicles may be parked on the ODD side of the street.
As we know that winter weather can create a variety of precarious scenarios that affect community life, we wanted residents to have access to information that will allow them to plan accordingly during this season, Commissioner Ricardo Morales, of the Department of Public Services and Utilities said. Pittsfield Opens Winter Storm Hotline & Snow Removal Survey
In preparation for the coming winter season, the City of Pittsfield has established a new winter hotline that will provide up-to-date information on impending snow events and impacts to parking in the city.
“As we know that winter weather can create a variety of precarious scenarios that affect community life, we wanted residents to have access to information that will allow them to plan accordingly during this season,” said Commissioner Ricardo Morales, of the Department of Public Services and Utilities.
The winter hotline can be reached at 413-449-5544.
After a snowstorm event, residents can also share their feedback on snow removal via a survey, which is available on the department’s web page and can be accessed here. The survey will be active throughout the winter season.
