A 10-inch water main break in Midtown Kansas City, Missouri, caused a stretch of road to buckle and impacted water pressure for some customers on Friday.
The Iowa Department of Transportation said concrete expands during stretches of temperatures above 90 degrees, meaning road buckling is possible during this stretch of high temperatures.
First it was potholes, now it’s road buckles. After days of triple degree temperatures, roads such as US-89 to North Temple, and all over northern Utah, have experienced road buckling.
