WAI has selected the 2021 inductees for its International Pioneer Hall of Fame. These women will be honored during the Virtual 32nd Annual International Women in Aviation Conference, which will be held March 11-12, 2021. The induction ceremony will take place on Friday, March 12, 2021.
The 2021 Pioneer Hall of Fame inductees are:
Joan Robinson-Berry recently retired as vice president and chief engineer for Boeing Global Services. Her accomplishments are numerous in the field of aerospace during her 33-year career that has broken barriers and elevated the industry. Joan’s trailblazing began early – she was the first African American from her childhood neighborhood to graduate from college with an engineering degree. Joan was the first female engineering graduate at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and the first African American program manager at McDonnell Douglas.
