The group provided relief packs to 100 mothers and livelihood packages to chosen families in crisis and calamity-affected communities in the town of Binangonal, Rizal.
“Sa bisa ng ating Ambagan, nakapagbigay tayo ng kabuhayan package at business management training sa mga nanay ng dalawang pinakamahirap na pamilyang napili natin (Through our contribution, we have been able to provide livelihood packages and business management training to the mothers of the two poorest families we have selected),” Ambagan PH National President Angelica Reyes said.
“Kitang-kita mo yung saya sa mata ng mga nanay. Ganito talaga (You can clearly see the happiness in the eyes of mothers. It’s really like this), to empower women, we need to recognize their economic contribution, we need to help them appreciate their worth in this society, and most importantly we need to give them access to opportunities,” Reyes added.
