character assassination. we ve seen it time and time again. and i think that we really need to look at the way the process is handled. they did this with director pompeo. somebody who is incredibly qualified, should have been moved forward much quicker and frankly with a lot more bipartisan support. you have one of the most uniquely qualified individuals that s coming in to take on the role of secretary of state. somebody who they unanimously supported in previous positions and they play political games. one of the big reasons americans are so frustrated with washington bill: you re right about pompeo from 15 months ago. are democrats guilty of being effective blockers or is the white house guilty of not being effective veters? i think you have to look back at how history has operated in the past. you had votes for people like john kerry. when you have people that are voting for john kerry both republicans and democrats yet
same condition. so it began, we call them riveters, they the leather at home during that time whenever it worked best for them, then they shipped those parts to us from carolina and we spend them out to our customers. let me ask you about the made in usa part of this. why was that so important from the get go and how many times did you have to do that? more than handmade is part of our name. we as military spouses took a lot of challenges and turned them into opportunities. i think that s the same to be said for the mid american movement. everything who s struggling to provide that for their families, it was everything for us. ws we make all our products here
medical delivery system for our veterans. the president talked about legislation to tighten that. now he s signing the bill that tightightens the time our veters get no the va for medical disability and see the doctors they want to see. the american legion has been a leader in getting the word out to this administration and across the country for the need of this. the president saying he s proud to sign the va accountability legislation. he talked about a hotline. a va hotline that the white house has set up. he talked about dramatically reducing the time for veterans to see the doctors they choose too. how triumphant and difficult it has been to move forward with this legislation. he also talked about what it s like for someone, the majority of people working in the va are terrific. when you find someone not doing their job, you find someone mistreating a veteran how
any community in america. to get to know the rosie the riveters and to get to do something that leaves part of the legacy behind. you talked to some of the women who worked during world war ii for a documentary called we pulled together. i want to play just a little bit of what one woman said to you. okay. the wartime almost now seems like a dream. cause when i think of some of the things that we did, i don t know whether we could repeat it today or not. what do you think about that? well, i m going to tell you what i think. i have so held onto that one statement, and i have decided over the last couple of years that we can pull together in america, it s a matter of will be we. we can do anything we want to in america. will we? and i think we were going to
