Animas City Park near 32nd Street and along East Second Avenue is possibly Durango’s oldest park. Jerry McBride/Durango Herald Santa Rita Park is home to several sculptures and the Emma Sweeny, a restored relic locomotive built in Hollywood for the 1950 movie, “Ticket to Tomahawk.” It also has a large grassy field and will have more amenities added later this year.
