WADDINGTON A Waddington man was airlifted to Upstate Medical in Syracuse for serious injuries sustained from a motor vehicle accident Dec. 12 on State Highway 37, according to state police.
Around 11 p.m. that day troopers reportedly responded to State Route 37 for a report of a disorderly individual and a subsequent car crash.
An investigation revealed that 48-year-old Vincent E. Perelli had created a disturbance at the Riverview Motel in Waddington, then fled the area in a 2016 Jeep Cherokee, traveling east, officers said.
Perelli allegedly failed to negotiate a curve and exited the south shoulder of the road, traveling down an earth embankment, according to police. Troopers said the vehicle became airborne then landed and rolled numerous times before coming to rest on its passenger side, near McGinnis Road.
