Reply Robin Kneen Hartel, age 67, of Shelton entered into rest on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Griffin Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Robin, a lifelong Shelton resident, was born in Derby on December 2, 1953, daughter of the late Rodman Kneen, Sr. and Ruth (Ledger) Kneen. She attended Shelton High School and after spending her senior year studying abroad in Brazil, she went on to earn her bachelor s degree from Springfield College. She married the love of her life, the late Bruce E. Hartel, in a Batman themed ceremony and together they enjoyed many chilly old car rides as members of the Connecticut Historical Automobile Society (CHAS) and the Connecticut Crankin Yanks Chapter of the Model T Ford Club of America.

Rick is the devoted husband and soul-mate of 39 years to Andrea Ruffalo Shorrock. He was born in Derby on October 16, 1951 son of the late William and June Cawthra Shorrock and was a lifelong Shelton resident. He was a Master Carpenter and business owner who shared his knowledge with all in the valley even beyond his retirement. He was known and loved by many people and everyone he encountered enjoyed his company. Rick touched the lives of everyone he came across and developed many friends and relationships. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam War. Rick was a remarkable father and blessed with four Daddy s little girls Alicia and her husband Daniel Rivera, Stacey and her husband John Rossetti, Ricki Lee and her husband Jason Reis, and Ashley and her partner Joseph Martinez. Joe Lamoree (1926-2020) Joseph Robert Lamoree, 94, of Beacon, died Dec. 17 at his home, surrounded by family members. Born in Beacon on June 7, 1926, he was the son of Robert and Margaret (Evans) Lamoree. After graduating from Beacon High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1944 and served for two years during World War II. For 36 years, he served as an officer for the state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, retiring in 1986. Joe was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill. On Sept. 14, 1947, he married Audrey Francine Knapp, his high school sweetheart, at St. John the Evangelist Church in Beacon. Joseph and Audrey were married for 67 years until her death in 2015.

Reply Thomas E. Gesseck, age 75, of Beacon Falls, entered into rest on Monday, December 7, 2020, at his home with his family by his side. Thomas was born in Waterbury on June 12, 1945, son of the late Stanley C. and Helen A. (Klukis) Gesseck. Born and raised in Naugatuck, he moved to Shelton in 1969 and finally to Beacon Falls in the 90 s. Thomas served his country with the US Airforce during the Vietnam War. He worked for over thirty years for Graybar Electric before retirement. A golfer in his earlier years, Thomas enjoyed playing lotto and his lottery tickets, cards, cribbage, bowling, and visits to the casino. He also enjoyed feeding stray cats in his neighborhood.
