Van Wagenen Jr. Riverside County Board of Supervisors on Thursday unanimously appointed Jeffrey A. Van Wagenen Jr. to be the next county executive officer, replacing the retiring George Johnson. Van Wagenen has worked for the county for 14 years, including the last three years as assistant CEO for seven public safety departments. Previously, he owned and operated a criminal law office. Van Wagenen received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California and law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of Law in San Francisco.
